 What Are You Listening To..
..This Week?
It's one of those threads. What music have you mostly listened to this week? Have you found anything new? Rediscovered old classics? Relived your youth ?
This week I have been mostly listening to The Shins. Nothing fancy or loud or pretentious. Just nice relaxing mellow music

This week I are been mostly listening . . .
.
. . . to MP3s off my PC on my HiFI via a magic doofer called an MD-PORT AN1
It is a little sound processing device with a USB connector at one end and twin phono plugs at the other. Totally plug and play and the sound quality is superb.
I got if off EBAY - much cheapness . . .

Due to working in London a lot I have been MP3ing it big time thanks to 3 hour train journeys. I have just been listening to
Sex Pistols
Dropkick Murphys
Goldie looking Chain (damn funny)
Johnny Cash
The Clash
Franz Ferdinand
and lots lots more
I saw the Pistols last month excellent. Of to see the Pogues on the 18th.

hehe stoopid web filtery thing. I meant the S*e*x pistols but this forum removes any reference to procreation. so if I type in the word loads of times it'll look like Monty python sketch.

hehehe Sex Pistols
Bought their "best of" CD a while back, still sounds great...never really got into The Clash, got Johnny Cash CD a while ago as well. Great stuff, you can almost feel the pain in his voice as he sings...very emotional.

Sorry for double posting but I forgot to put this week's music...
Been following this band since 1996, great live band,
Green Day..

If you have Skype there's a great add on called last fm radio. Put in the name of your favourite band and it plays loads of similar music non stop for you. Can go off course a wee bit but not too bad.

 Pogues
I was at Brixton Academy last night to see them. Brilliant. All the old classics mumbled stupendously well the MacGowan. I even got to go back stage...... to the medical room Some twat hit me on the head with a glass. It was plastic but it was full and it hit me in such a way as to split my head open. I missed 3 songs and then had to fight my way back to the front of the mosh pit. Great night

I'm listening to the sound of my career disappearing. I've taken voluntary redundancy as my work stinks and I don't want to work in London.
On the bright side, I went to see Chas and Dave last week. Wot a good old Cockney knees up that was. Cor lumey guvner
